The Shepherd’s Museum is located at an amazing location, within the Cultural Centre of Dora which is housed at the old Primay School, a building standing in a beautiful environment with a wonderful view. At the Museum one can admire authentic exhibits dated back to the previous century or even earlier, including tools and other basic essentials of the shelpherd of the past, impecabbly displayed and accompanied by an explanatory rubric (both in Greek and English) describing the usefulness of each one. Visitors of the museum will have the opportunity to see the photo exhibition that was set in the adjuscent hall, as well as to watch a documentary prepared by the community titled “The life of the Shepherd in Dora” (with English subtitles). The museum can be visited in groups of more than 20 people for a small entrance fee and visitors will have the chance to observe the production procedure and taste the traditional “halloumi” white cheese of Dora. For group visits and further information you may call at 25942035 and 99533740. For the time being, the museum is open upon prior arrangements.
